Halo Star Whippet X – One of the first truly overstable discs in the Innova lineup, this disc is a slower fairway driver that is crazy overstable. It is a disc that you reach for on those short shots you need to find the ground and get a skip. Great for spike hyzers and flex shots that require a strong finish. The Whippet has a very unique feel in the hand and they tend to be quite domey. If you are in a place that is windy a lot and you need a short to intermediate range disc that is still plenty overstable, then get yourself a Whippet. They fight any headwind you can find and with a turn of +1 they definitely won’t flip on you. It is a tweener disc in the 6 speed, that is kinda between a midrange and fairway, but once you figure out where it fits into your bag, it becomes very useful! A longtime favorite of Innova fans, this disc slides right in between the Gator and Firebird. Slower than a Firebird and faster than the Gator, you can cover all the overstable, medium distance shots necessary with these three discs.
